How to properly report a bug

The more detail you give, the faster we can reproduce and fix the problem. The best approach is to record a video of the bug and attach it to your report.

What to include in your reportโ€‹

To help us sort it out as fast as possible, include:

  • A video of the problem โ€” it clearly shows what is going wrong (see below for how to record it).
  • A detailed description โ€” what happens, what you expected to see, and which actions trigger the error.
  • The game โ€” where the problem occurs: Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2 or Deadlock.
  • Your username โ€” your account login on octarine.cc.

How to record a video of the bugโ€‹

A convenient free tool for screen recording is OBS Studio.

1. Installationโ€‹

Download OBS Studio from the official website obsproject.com and install it.

2. Set up screen captureโ€‹

In the Sources box, click + (or right-click โ†’ Add) โ†’ Display Capture, then select the monitor you need.

3. Recordingโ€‹

Click Start Recording. You can configure the save location and video quality under Settings โ†’ Output.

What the video should showโ€‹

  • The problem itself, in detail.
  • All software settings (and game settings, if the problem is game-related) โ€” go through the menu so your configuration is visible.
  • The exact actions that trigger the error, so we can reproduce it on our side.

Where to send itโ€‹

Send the video and description to support โ€” we will review them and help you figure it out.

The more complete the information, the faster we can fix the problem or help you with your configuration.
