Insights โ†’ Overwolf โ†’ Panel / Hotkeys / History

Overwolf is the first page of the Insights tab (alongside MMR Tracker and Meta tracker). The page is split into three tabs at the top: Panel, Hotkeys, History. The script toggle is in the page header.

How to useโ€‹

  • The script is on by default. Player stats start loading as soon as the match is found. When player stats have loaded in a new match, the panel opens by itself (the "Open on match start" option). If the script was loaded in the middle of a match that is already running, the panel will not appear by itself.
  • Open/close manually:
    • the stats icon in the top-left corner of the screen โ€” a click shows or hides the panel;
    • the Panel key on the "Hotkeys" tab (not set by default);
    • the Open panel button on the "Panel" tab;
    • the cross in the panel header closes it.
  • Reload stats: the refresh icon in the panel header or the Reload stats key. Works only for the current match.
  • View past games: the arrows in the panel header or the Game list on the "History" tab.
  • Mark a player: click the badge to the right of the name โ†’ write a note or click Mark player.
  • Open a player profile: click the player's row.
  • While the script sees neither a current nor a saved game, the panel shows sample data ("Demo" in the header).

What it doesโ€‹

Panelโ€‹

The panel sits in the center of the screen and cannot be dragged. Its size is set by the Size slider. Clicks on the panel do not pass through to the game.

Header: "Overwolf / lobby type / game mode", for a past game โ€” the date, match ID and "History 2/10". On the right are icons: cross (close), gear (quick settings), reload stats, arrows "newer / older game".

Player rows are split into the RADIANT and DIRE teams. Columns:

  • Hero โ€” the role the player queued for (icon, number 1โ€“5 or both) and the hero portrait in this match.
  • PLAYER โ€” the name. Under the name are the lanes the player actually plays based on recent games (up to three, with a share in %). The main role is highlighted in gold, and in red if it does not match the role the player queued for. To the right of the name is the mark badge (see below).
  • RANK โ€” medal and stars. For leaderboard players, the medal shows their leaderboard place instead of stars.
  • MATCHES โ€” on the left, total matches and overall win rate; on the right, the current streak (W 3 โ€” wins in a row, L 2 โ€” losses in a row) and the win rate over the last 20 games. Clicking the MATCHES header sorts players within a team by recent win rate: best first โ†’ worst first โ†’ normal order.
  • RECENT MATCHES โ€” hero portraits from the recent games, newest first. A green frame is a win, a red one is a loss. In the corner is the pick number in the draft.
  • MOST PLAYED โ€” the most played heroes: number of games and win rate. The Spam label marks a hero with at least 30 games and at least 15 % of all the player's matches.
  • CURRENT HERO โ€” how many games and what win rate the player has on the hero they picked in this match.

Win rate colors: purple โ€” 60 % and above over at least 20 games (often a smurf), green โ€” above 50 %, grey โ€” 31โ€“50 % (and 0 %), red โ€” from 1 to 30 %.

Hover tooltips: if a player's name is cut, hovering the row shows the full name on a plate over the row; on the name and on MATCHES โ€” the player's career card (on the right half of MATCHES โ€” an explanation of the streak and recent win rate), on a portrait in RECENT MATCHES โ€” stats for that match, on the hero portrait and on a hero in MOST PLAYED and CURRENT HERO โ€” stats on that hero.

Bottom row โ€” match quality from Valve: overall match quality, skill balance, skill range, behavior. The rating is colored: red โ€” worst, yellow, white, green, purple โ€” best. On the right โ€” how many seconds the stats took to load.

Quick settings (gear in the header): the same items as on the "Panel" tab (except the "Open panel" button), right on the panel. Right-click an item โ€” reset to default or reset all. The "More in the menu" row opens the script page in the menu.

Player profileโ€‹

Clicking a player's row opens their profile over the panel, next to the PLAYER column (the panel underneath is dimmed). Tabs:

  • Overview โ€” career, per-game averages (KDA, GPM, XPM, last hits, net worth, hero damage, duration), recent games as a KDA chart (hover a bar for that match's card), roles, draft habits (average pick, early and late pick, games in 24 h, last game), most played heroes;
  • Matches โ€” all recent games as a table;
  • Heroes โ€” the full hero pool;
  • Together (only for other players and only with "Player marks" on) โ€” your note and all games you played together: the score on the same team and against each other. Wins and losses are counted from your side.

The "Matches" and "Heroes" tables are sorted by clicking a column header, and the icon to the right of the tabs switches between compact and roomy rows (the same as "Compact profile tables"). Clicking another row switches the profile. Close โ€” Esc, the cross, or a click outside. The mouse wheel scrolls the tables when roomy rows are on.

Player marksโ€‹

  • The badge to the right of the name: bookmark โ€” the player is marked, clock โ€” you have played with them before, pencil (appears when hovering the row) โ€” add a note.
  • Hover the badge to see the mark, the note and the recent games together (date, hero, ally/enemy, result).
  • Clicking the badge opens the note right on the panel: enter text (up to 200 characters) and click Mark player or Unmark player. Enter or Esc closes the window. Right-click the badge to open this player in the menu.
  • A note on an unmarked player marks them immediately. "Unmark player" removes the mark and the note; the games together remain.
  • Marks, notes and games together are stored on this computer, separately from the game history and from configs. A game together is recorded as soon as you are in the match, and the result is added after it ends. Up to 12 recent games together are stored per player.

Historyโ€‹

  • Every game you play with stats is saved on this computer. Games you watched as a spectator are not saved.
  • As many recent games are kept as set in Keep games (10 by default).
  • On the History tab, below the settings, there is a card with the players of the shown game ("This game", "Last game" or "Sample game") and a Marked players card with search (by name, account ID, Steam ID or note) and pages of 10 players.
  • The player card in the menu: nickname (can be copied), account ID, Steam ID, mark date, last game together, note, list of games together, and the Mark player / Unmark player buttons.

FAQโ€‹

The panel did not open by itself at the start of the match. Check that the script (header toggle of the page) and "Open on match start" are on. The panel opens by itself only for a new match with other players. If the script was loaded after the game started, open the panel with the icon in the top-left corner, the Panel key or the Open panel button.

How do I remove the panel from the screen? The cross in the panel header, a click on the icon in the top-left corner, or the Panel key. To stop it from appearing by itself, turn off "Open on match start".

The reload stats icon is greyed out. Only the current match can be reloaded. It does not work for past games from the history or for sample data.

Player marks disappeared after "Clear history". They don't: "Clear history" deletes only saved games. Marks are deleted only by the Clear marks button on the "History" tab. Marks are stored on this computer and are not transferred to another PC.

Why does a player have a purple win rate? It means 60 % and above over at least 20 games โ€” this is usually what a smurf looks like.
