Misc โ†’ Camera

The page has two cards: FOV changer and Third person. Each has its own header toggle.

How to enableโ€‹

  1. Menu (Insert) โ†’ Misc โ†’ Camera.
  2. FOV changer: turn on the card's header toggle and set Field of view. Off by default.
  3. Third person: turn on the card's header toggle or assign a Key bind โ€” it turns third person on and off. Off by default, key not set.

What it doesโ€‹

FOV changer

  • Replaces the camera's field of view with the value you set. The wider it is, the more you see at the sides.

Third person

  • The camera moves behind your character by Distance.
  • Collision: if there is a wall between the camera and the character, the camera moves closer.
  • Shoulder offset shifts the camera toward the left or right shoulder (negative and positive values); 0 means the camera is directly behind you. Smoothing speed sets how quickly the camera turns toward the aim point when offset.
  • Animation: the transition between first and third person is smooth, at Animation speed.
  • Works only while you are alive. After death the camera returns to normal.

FAQโ€‹

Third person does not turn on with the key. Check that the Key bind is assigned. It toggles the state: one press turns it on, a second press turns it off. Third person does not work after death.

The camera jumps sharply behind my back when enabled. Turn on "Animation" or lower "Animation speed" to make the transition smoother.

In third person the camera goes through walls. Turn on "Collision" (on by default).
