Clan tag

CS2 · Misc. Adds the "octarine.cc" tag to your nickname (optionally animated). CS2 has no clan tag of its own, so the tag becomes part of your name.

How to enable

1. Menu (Insert) → Misc → Clan tag.
2. Turn on the page's header toggle. Off by default.
3. Choose Placement and, if you like, an Animation.

What it does

• While you are on a server, it sends the server your nickname with the "octarine.cc" tag. The tag text is fixed and cannot be changed.
• Placement: the tag goes before your name, after your name, or instead of your name. The full nickname cannot be longer than 32 characters, so your name is truncated if necessary.
• Animation changes the tag frame by frame; each frame is held for Step every milliseconds:
  • Print — the tag is typed out letter by letter with a "_" cursor;
  • Bruteforce — letters are "guessed" one at a time with a spinner;
  • Scramble — random characters gradually settle into the tag;
  • Rotate — the tag scrolls like a ticker;
  • Blink — the tag appears and disappears;
  • Wave — capital letters run across the tag;
  • Slide — the tag slides in from the right;
  • Glitch — individual characters are randomly distorted.
• Your real nickname in the game settings does not change. When you turn the feature off and at the end of the match, your nickname returns to normal.
• The nickname is sent to the server only when it changes, so a static tag creates no extra load.

FAQ

I got kicked from the server after enabling the animation. The animation changes your nickname, and the server may disconnect a player for changing names too often. Increase "Step every" or choose the "None" animation.

Can I write my own tag? No, the tag text is fixed — "octarine.cc". Only the placement and animation can be configured.

Will my normal nickname come back? Yes. The nickname in the game settings does not change: when you turn the feature off and at the end of the match, your normal name is sent to the server again.
