CS2 · Skin Changer. A catalog of cases, souvenir packages and capsules: add a container and its key to the inventory and open it in the game with the usual animation — the item it drops goes into the inventory. You can choose in advance what drops and change the odds of each grade.

How to use

1. Menu (Insert) → Skin Changer → Cases.
2. Above the container shelf, choose a group: Cases, Souvenir packages or Capsules. Find the one you want with the search ("Search...") and click its card — the container appears on the stage at the top of the page.
3. Choose how many to add (×1, ×5, ×10) and click Add both (the container and its key), Add case or Add key. Containers that open without a key are added with the single Add case button.
4. Open the container in the game's inventory as usual. The game plays its own unboxing animation, the reel stops on the dropped item and it appears in the inventory. The container and the key are gone afterwards.
5. To choose what drops, click the item you want on the reel under the stage before opening (see "Rigging the drop").

The dropped item is managed like any other added item — on the Inventory page.

What it does

Stage and odds

• The selected container is shown in 3D: a case drops onto the stage the way the game's inspect drops it and stays closed. Terminals are shown on a desk of their own. Containers without a 3D model show their picture.
• To the right of the stage is the Drop odds panel: a bar of the grades and a slider with a percentage for each grade. Moving one slider recalculates the others while keeping their proportions — the total is always 100 %.
• The default odds are the ones Valve publishes. For a weapon case: Mil-Spec — 79.92 %, Restricted — 15.98 %, Classified — 3.2 %, Covert — 0.64 %, Rare Special (a knife or gloves) — 0.26 %. If a container lacks a grade, the others are recalculated. Souvenir packages also have Consumer Grade and Industrial Grade — each grade five times as likely as the one above it. Capsule grades have their own names: High Grade, Remarkable, Exotic, Extraordinary.
• Weapon cases also have a StatTrak slider — the chance that a weapon drops as StatTrak™ (10 % by default). Gloves never drop StatTrak™.
• The tag in the panel's corner: Custom — the odds were changed, Rigged — an item that will drop is chosen. Reset to Valve odds restores the default odds (the button is active only if the odds were changed).

Rigging the drop

• The reel under the stage holds every item the container can give, from the worst grade to the best. Each item shows its picture, name, drop chance and a stripe in its grade color. The case's knives and gloves are here too.
• Clicking an item rigs it: the reel slides to it, it gets a gold frame and a padlock, and the others dim. Clicking it again removes the rig.
• Several items can be rigged: then one of them drops, and each keeps its usual chance relative to the others (a rigged Mil-Spec still drops more often than a rigged Covert).
• Above the reel it says what is rigged: "Always drops <item>" or "Drops one of <N>". The Random button rigs one item rolled by the odds; Unrig removes the rig.
• The reel can be scrolled by dragging it with the mouse or with the mouse wheel.
• Right-click an item on the reel: Add to inventory — add this item right away without opening, Add StatTrak (not for gloves), Rig / Unrig.
• Rigs and changed odds are kept per container and saved to the config. On the shelf a rigged container's card has a gold padlock, and a container with changed odds has a colored dot.

Container shelf

• The containers of the selected group, newest first. The shelf scrolls with the mouse wheel.
• Clicking a card shows the container on the stage. Right-click a card: Add case, Add both, Add key (as many as chosen in ×1 / ×5 / ×10), and also Unrig and Reset to Valve odds if they apply.
• Only containers that drop something are listed: bundles that grant a whole set at once and the single-team sticker capsules of the 2014–2015 Majors are not shown.

What drops

• The item drops with a random wear and pattern. A souvenir package drops a Souvenir item, knives and gloves come with the ★.
• Only items that can be added to the inventory take part in the reel and in the opening. If there are none, the reel says "Nothing this container drops can be added".
• Case rental. If you choose to rent a case in the game, every item it has except the Rare Special (knife or gloves) goes into the inventory for 7 days, marked as rented. When the time runs out they are removed. The case and the key are gone after a few seconds.
• Terminals. An opened terminal turns into a dealer with a 3-day battery. It offers one item from its contents at a time; the next offer replaces the previous one. After the final offer the dealer leaves and the terminal is gone. If you buy the offered item, a copy of it appears in the inventory and the terminal is gone.

FAQ

I rigged an item, but something else dropped. Rigging works only on containers added on this page. Real cases from your inventory are opened by the game, and rigs and odds do not affect them. Also check that you rigged the same container you are opening: each container has its own rig.

How do I get a knife for sure? Click the knife on the reel of the selected case — "Always drops …" appears above the reel. Then add the case with a key and open it in the game.

There is no "Add both" button. This container opens without a key — add it with Add case.

An item is missing from the reel although the case has it. The reel holds only items that can be added to the inventory. If none of them can, the reel says "Nothing this container drops can be added".

My rented items disappeared. A rental lasts 7 days — after that the items are removed, as in the game.
