Misc โ†’ Dodger

Subpages are shown as tabs at the top: Auto parry, Anti parry, Abilities & Items.

How to enableโ€‹

  1. Menu (Insert) โ†’ Misc โ†’ Dodger. Turn on the State toggle in the page header: the script is off by default, and while it is off, all tabs are inactive.
  2. Turn on the features you need with the State toggle on their tabs. Auto parry is on by default, Anti parry and Abilities & Items are off.
  3. For anti parry you can set a Toggle key; for the dodge panel, a Dodger menu key.

The script does nothing while your hero is dead or the shop is open.

What it doesโ€‹

Auto parry

  • Watches enemy melee attacks within a 100 m radius, calculates where the hit will land, and presses parry so that the block is up by the moment of the hit.

  • A hit that reaches you from where the enemy stands is parried right away. A hit with a lunge is parried based on where the lunge will take the enemy. A heavy hit that the enemy is holding far from you is left alone until the enemy releases it; if the lunge cannot reach you, the hit is ignored.

  • By default it responds to heavy attacks. Light attacks are enabled separately. Light attacks can make parrying less reliable: enable them situationally, ideally on a hotkey.

  • Baba riding Granny Long Legs: her ground pound is parried as a heavy attack, her kick as a light one.

  • Viscous telepunch: parries Viscous's punch (Puddle Punch) coming out of his portal.

  • Guardian melee: parries the blows of enemy lane Guardians (trooper bosses) when the blow reaches you. A Guardian hits further straight ahead than to the sides, and this is taken into account.

  • Neutral melee: parries the blows of jungle neutrals โ€” from any side and at the last moment the parry still catches the blow. A blow is let through if:

    • fewer neutrals are swinging at you than set in Neutrals swinging (1 by default โ€” every blow is parried);
    • your health is above the Health below (%) threshold;
    • Keep for enemy heroes is on (it is by default) and an enemy hero is closer than Enemy hero range (20 m). Parrying a neutral puts the parry on cooldown, while parrying a hero hands it straight back, so near an enemy it is better kept.
  • Each response has a gear with its own settings:

    • FOV limit โ€” parry only an attack from within this angle of your aim, 180 โ€” from any side (heavy and light melee, Guardian melee);
    • Reaction (ms) โ€” a range for the press delay: for each attack the delay is picked at random between the two ends, like a live player's. The press is never so late that the parry misses, nor so early that the block is down before the blow. 0 โ€” the press goes out at the last moment (heavy melee, Guardian melee);
    • Health below (%) โ€” parry only while your health is at or under this share of the maximum, 100 โ€” at any health (all responses).
  • Indicator โ€” highlights what the auto parry is about to respond to, before the press: "Over head" โ€” the response's icon over your hero, "Field of view" โ€” the FOV limit sector on the ground around your hero, "None" โ€” nothing. Color:

    • amber โ€” an attack is coming at you, it is too early to press;
    • green โ€” from the press while the block is up;
    • red โ€” the attack is let through: it is outside the FOV limit, your health is above the threshold, too few neutrals are swinging, or an enemy hero is near.

    A field of view you are setting in the menu is drawn on your hero whichever option is chosen.

  • Auto parry overlay โ€” an on-screen card with the auto parry state (ON/OFF) and the enabled responses, Guardian and neutral melee included. "Icons only" (default) โ€” a strip of icons with the enabled ones highlighted; "Full panel" โ€” a row for each response. Can be dragged with the mouse, more details: HUD cards.

Anti parry

  • When you throw a heavy melee attack and the nearest enemy in front of you (within the Detection range and the FOV limit) is holding parry, the script turns the camera by the Turn angle so the hit misses and you don't get stunned.
  • The turn starts after the Delay and lasts Smooth รท 100 seconds (0.04 s by default).
  • Triggers on the same enemy no more than once per second.

Abilities & Items

  • Detects an ability flying at you and responds to it in time: with a parry using the Counterspell item, your own escape, or an item.
  • What to dodge with is tried in order; the first option that the hero has, is not on cooldown and is enabled is used:
    1. a parry with the Counterspell item;
    2. Mina's dash;
    3. Debuff Remover โ€” removes what has already been applied (timed bombs, delayed stuns, silence, etc.);
    4. Ethereal Shift โ€” avoids everything;
    5. Calico's Shadow Pulse;
    6. Unstoppable โ€” against stuns, sleep, immobilization, silence, disarm, slows and knockbacks.
  • Each tool has its own list of abilities it responds to. Enabled by default: Shoulder Charge and Seismic Impact (Abrams), Phantom Strike, Killing Blow (Shiv), Telekinesis (Wraith). The rest (abilities of Bebop, Paradox, Haze, Vindicta, Infernus, Lash, Mirage, Grey Talon, Yamato, Seven, Doorman and others, items such as Knockdown and Silence Glyph) are enabled manually.
  • Dodge panel โ€” a window next to the menu: tools on the left (order = priority), and on the right, each tool's list of abilities. Click an icon โ€” on/off, drag โ€” reorder, right-click a row โ€” reset.
  • Heroes in the match only: the "Dodger" window lists only the abilities of heroes somebody plays in this match; items are always listed. Hidden icons keep their state and order, and whether they are answered does not change.
  • Wall check: a cast is ignored if there is a wall between you and the caster.
  • Dodge notification: a "Dodged" card when a block requested by this tab triggered.

FAQโ€‹

Auto parry does not trigger.

  • Is the State toggle in the "Dodger" page header on? The whole script is off by default.
  • By default only heavy attacks are parried. Light ones are enabled separately.
  • Parry must be available (not on cooldown), and the shop must be closed.

Auto parry lets neutral blows through or does not always trigger.

  • Neutral blows are not parried while an enemy hero is closer than Enemy hero range (20 m): the parry is kept for that hero. Turn off Keep for enemy heroes in the "Neutral melee" gear.
  • Check Health below (%) and FOV limit in the response gear: above the health threshold and for an attack outside the angle, no parry is pressed. Turn on the Indicator: red means the attack is let through on purpose.

Parry triggers at the wrong time on light hits.

Light attacks reduce parry reliability. Turn off Light melee or bind it to a hotkey: right-click the row โ†’ create a hotkey (see Hotkeys and logic).

Ability dodging does nothing. The Abilities & Items tab is off by default. Besides that, you need at least one tool (for example, the Counterspell or Unstoppable item), and the needed ability must be enabled for it in the "Dodger" window. Most abilities are off by default.

How do I remove the "Dodger" window next to the menu? Turn off Dodge panel or press the Dodger menu key.
