Where to find it in the menuโ
Changer โ Chams
The page is split into tabs at the top: General, Illusions, Heroes, Spirit Bear, Couriers, Familiars, Brewmaster spirits, Roshan, Neutral creeps, Buildings, Lane creeps.
How to enableโ
- Menu (
Insert) โ Changer โ Chams. Turn on the header toggle of the page: chams are off by default. - Open the tab for the units you want (for example, Heroes) โ Material โ choose a Style. By default every tab is set to "Off", meaning the units are drawn as usual.
- Set up the colors for enemies and allies and the style parameters. While the page is open, a preview of the current tab's unit is shown at the top โ use it as a reference.
What it doesโ
What it colors
- Each unit falls into exactly one tab, checked from top to bottom: a hero illusion goes into the Illusions tab, not Heroes; Roshan goes into Roshan, not Neutral creeps.
- Each tab has its own colors per side: Enemy color and Ally color. Roshan and neutral creeps have one side, so the row is simply called Color. Buildings have three sides: enemies, allies and Neutral color (for example, an unclaimed Outpost).
- Units that are not in any tab are not recolored.
Styles
- Off โ units of this tab are drawn as usual.
- Flat โ the model is filled with a single color.
- Glossy โ the model with lighting and a highlight: metallic, roughness, specular and ambient light are adjustable.
- Fresnel โ a glowing rim along the model's outline that fades toward the center. The rim edge, centre, tightness and falloff are adjustable, as well as the Rim background for each side. A black background adds nothing; any other color fills the whole silhouette.
- Normals โ the model is colored by surface direction (multicolored).
- Style sliders are visible only when that style is selected. Each style's values are remembered separately, so switching styles back and forth does not lose your settings.
- Bloom โ how much the material glows through the game's own glow (bloom). Works only with high shader quality in the Dota settings.
Wearables (Heroes and Illusions only)
- Heroes and illusions have two sections: Material โ the body itself, Wearables โ the equipped items.
- Wearables Style: "Off" โ the items stay as usual; "Same as body" โ the items are drawn the same way as the body; or a style and colors of their own.
- Hide removes equipped items from the model. Sets that replace the whole model instead of being worn on top remain โ there is nothing to show under them.
- Who "Hide" affects: there is one toggle per tab, with no split by side. In the Heroes tab it removes wearables from all heroes โ enemies, allies and your own hero; in the Illusions tab โ from all illusions. These are two separate toggles: hiding on heroes does not affect their illusions, and vice versa.
- "Hide" does not need a chams style. It is enough for the Chams page to be on (header toggle): wearables are hidden even if Material and Wearables are set to "Off" and the hero's body is drawn as usual. If the page is off, "Hide" does not work.
General
- Brightness: the game additionally processes the frame after drawing chams, while the preview does not, so in game the material looks dimmer. The slider raises the brightness in game. Adjust it so the game matches the preview.
- The "Ally side" button in the preview header switches whether the preview shows an enemy or an ally. Roshan and neutral creeps have one side, so there is no button.
Highlighting from other scripts
- Some scripts (for example, Auto Last Hit) temporarily recolor units through chams. This highlighting works even if the Chams page itself is off.
- Wearables hidden on this page stay hidden under the highlighting of other scripts as well.

FAQโ
I turned on chams, but the units look normal. By default every tab's style is "Off". Open a tab (for example, Heroes) โ Material โ choose a Style.
The hero's body got colored, but the items on it didn't. Wearables are configured separately. In the Heroes tab โ Wearables, choose the "Same as body" style or your own.
In game the colors are dimmer than in the preview. Raise Brightness in the General tab, matching it to the preview.
"Bloom" doesn't work. It uses the game's own glow and requires high shader quality in the Dota graphics settings.
How do I remove sets/cosmetics from heroes? Do I need to turn on a chams style? Turn on the Chams page (header toggle), then Heroes โ Wearables โ Hide. You don't need to choose a style: with "Off" in Material, the hero's body stays as usual and only the items disappear. Hiding affects all heroes at once โ enemies, allies and yours. Illusions have the same toggle in the Illusions tab. Sets that replace the whole model are not hidden.
Can I hide cosmetics only on enemies (or only on myself)? No. "Hide" is one toggle per tab, and it affects both sides.
I turned off chams, but the creep highlighting stayed. This is highlighting from another script (for example, chams in Auto Last Hit). It does not depend on the Chams page toggle and is turned off in that script's settings.
