Backtrack
CS2 ยท Legit. A shot counts not only where you see the enemy, but also where they stood a moment ago (backtrack) or where they should already be on the server (extrapolation). Works together with the aimbot and the trigger bot.

Where to find it in the menuโ
Legit โ Backtrack
A page tab inside Legit, next to Aimbot, Trigger bot, Recoil control and Zeus and knife. At the bottom is the Visuals section.
How to enableโ
- Turn off Safe mode (Settings โ Safe mode). While it is on, Backtrack and Extrapolation are off and locked.
- Menu (
Insert) โ Legit โ Backtrack โ turn on Backtrack and/or Extrapolation. Both are off by default. - Turn on at least one "consumer" in the same preset: Aimbot or Trigger bot. Backtrack by itself does not shoot or move the crosshair.
- In Use in, keep the features you need (both are selected by default).
Settings are saved to the selected weapon preset: backtrack only works with weapons whose preset has it enabled. More: Weapon presets.
What it doesโ
- Backtrack: if a shot misses the spot where you see the enemy but hits where they stood slightly earlier (for example, right before they moved behind cover), the server is asked to "rewind" the enemy to that position, and the hit counts.
- How far into the past a shot can reach is set by Backtrack time (up to 200 ms). The server has its own limit: values above it change nothing.
- If the enemy moved abruptly between records (a teleport), positions before that moment are not used.
- Extrapolation: the same, but forward โ the shot counts slightly ahead of where you see the enemy, because due to latency they are already there. Helps against fast-running enemies. The prediction goes a few ticks ahead and does not pass through walls.
- With the aimbot: works for your own shots while the aimbot is on for the weapon in your hands. The shot stays yours: backtrack does not shoot for you or move the crosshair. The aimbot's current target is checked first.
- With the trigger bot: if nobody is under the crosshair, the trigger bot checks the past/predicted positions of enemies and shoots at the first one it will hit. Hit chance, minimum damage and body parts are checked the same way as for a normal target.
- Visuals:
- "Show backtrack" draws a copy of each enemy's model where they can still be hit (the oldest available position). After a backtrack shot, a copy at the shot position and a light blue label "BT -N ms" stay for 1.5 seconds โ how many milliseconds back the shot reached.
- "Show extrapolation" draws a copy where the enemy is expected to be. After an extrapolation shot, an orange label "EX +N ms" appears for 1.5 seconds.
- The copies are drawn through model highlight: to see them, turn on the Backtrack and/or Extrapolation card in "Visuals โ Players โ Model highlight" (both are off by default). Their look is set there too. Model highlight for players must also be turned on.

FAQโ
The "Backtrack" and "Extrapolation" toggles are grey. Safe mode is on. Turn it off in the Settings tab (at your own risk).
I enabled backtrack but nothing happens / enemy copies are not drawn. Backtrack only works together with the Aimbot or Trigger bot enabled for the weapon in your hands, and only if they are selected in "Use in". The copies appear when backtrack is actually working for the current weapon, and only if the Backtrack / Extrapolation card is turned on in "Visuals โ Players โ Model highlight" (off by default).
I set "Backtrack time" to 200, but the shot reaches less. The server has its own rewind limit. Values above it change nothing.
Backtrack works with one weapon but not with another. That weapon has its own preset. Select it in the header of the Legit tab and turn on backtrack there. See Weapon presets.
