General questions about the Octarine menu in all games. Questions about a specific feature are in the "FAQ" section on its page (Dota 2, CS2, Deadlock).

The menu doesn't open. How do I change the menu key? By default the menu is opened and closed with the Insert key โ€” in and out of a match, including while the chat is open. What to check:

  • The key changed along with the config. The menu key is stored in the config: you or an applied config may have changed it (including by pressing a config key in game). Then the menu is opened by the key from that config. If a combination is assigned (for example, Ctrl + Insert), hold the modifier too.
  • How to open the menu without knowing the key. Press the script reload key (Delete by default; it is also stored in the config). After the scripts load, the menu opens by itself: whether it was open or closed is not remembered. Then check or change Settings โ†’ Menu Bind. Configs โ†’ Changed settings โ†’ Hard reset restores Insert and Delete, but also resets all other settings.
  • No Insert key (laptop). On many laptops it is pressed together with Fn (for example, Fn + Insert) โ€” this depends on the model. It is more convenient to assign another key: open the menu by reloading scripts and change the Menu Bind. Esc and the left mouse button cannot be assigned.
  • Did the scripts load? Right after loading, the menu is open by itself. In a match, the Watermark with the Octarine logo is shown in the top right corner by default (unless it was turned off). If the menu has only a single Try to reload tab, click it and the scripts will reload.

I can't find a setting. Open the menu and press Ctrl+K (or Ctrl+F), type the name in English or Russian. Search looks only at the names of rows, pages and tabs, not at descriptions. โ†’ Search

How do I change the menu language? Settings โ†’ Language: English, Russian, Chinese. The language is saved in the config: when you apply another config, the menu switches to the language saved in it. โ†’ Settings

The menu is too large or too small. Settings โ†’ Menu scale (50โ€“150%). โ†’ Settings

A setting is greyed out / won't turn onโ€‹

Possible reasons:

  1. Safe mode. Hovering over the row shows "Locked by Safe mode". Click the row: in CS2 and Deadlock you will be offered to disable the mode, in Dota 2 the Safe mode window opens on the relevant part. Safe mode is on by default, is stored on the computer and is not changed by configs. Turning it off is at your own risk. โ†’ Safe mode
  2. Dota 2: the humanizer is off. Without it, scripts do not attack, move or use abilities on a target, and the Camera page is locked. The humanizer is held by the Server anti-cheat part of Safe mode: turn that part off and turn on Settings โ†’ Humanizer. โ†’ Humanizer
  3. The feature itself is off. On many pages, while the State or Enable toggle is off, the other rows on the page are inactive. Turn it on in the page header or in the first row.

CS2: the aimbot is on but doesn't work. While Safe mode is on, the aimbot and recoil control do not work at all. โ†’ Aimbot, Safe mode

Dota 2: the script works in demo mode but not in a match. In hero demo mode orders go through without the humanizer; in a match it is required. โ†’ Humanizer

HUD cardsโ€‹

I can't see a script's card / how do I move it? Open the script's page in the menu: while it is open, a sample card is shown on screen even if there is nothing to show. Drag it with the mouse; for precise moves use the arrow keys. Script cards are visible in a match (with the menu open โ€” also outside a match). โ†’ HUD cards

In Dota 2 the card disappeared when I opened the shop. The card is hidden while its corner is covered by a game panel (shop, scoreboard). โ†’ HUD cards

How do I change the card size? The Size slider on the script's page (60โ€“150%). โ†’ HUD cards

Right-clicking the card does nothing. Jumping to the settings with a right-click works only while the menu is open. โ†’ HUD cards

Resetting settingsโ€‹

How do I reset a single setting? Right-click the row โ†’ Reset to default. โ†’ Hotkeys and logic

How do I reset everything? Configs โ†’ Changed settings โ†’ Hard reset โ€” all settings in all tabs return to their default values. Reset to config returns everything to the applied config. This cannot be undone. The reset does not touch Safe mode. โ†’ Configs

Hotkeysโ€‹

How do I put a setting on a key? Right-click the row โ†’ New Hotkey โ†’ Key โ†’ press a key or combination โ†’ Confirm. Choose the Mode (Toggle or Hold) and the Value. The left mouse button cannot be assigned. All binds are in Configs โ†’ Hotkeys โ†’ Keybinds. โ†’ Hotkeys and logic

I press the hotkey and nothing happens. Hotkeys work only in game and with the menu closed; they have no effect on rows locked by Safe mode. In "Hold" mode the value applies only while the key is held down. โ†’ Hotkeys and logic

When I assign a key it says "The key is already bound to โ€ฆ". That key is already assigned to another row, named in the window. Press a different key or Bind anyway: then one press triggers both rows. โ†’ Hotkeys and logic

The script's key also triggers in the game. Turn on Block game input on the hotkey or on the key row (right-click it). โ†’ Hotkeys and logic

Scripts and updatesโ€‹

How do I reload scripts? The Delete key (works both with the menu open and outside a match) or Settings โ†’ Reload Scripts โ†’ Reload. Setting changes are saved automatically, including those made right before the reload. After a reload the menu opens by itself (unless Hide menu on load is on). โ†’ Settings

A script stopped working after an update. An update is applied when the scripts are reloaded. Reload the scripts (Delete).

  • Dota 2: outside a match scripts reload by themselves; if the update came out during a match โ€” after you leave the match, or immediately if Auto reload on update is on. โ†’ Notifications in Dota 2
  • CS2: turn on Updates notifications to learn when an update is ready, or Auto reload on update. โ†’ Updates notifications

How do I find out about new updates? Turn on Updates notifications: in Dota 2 it is a section on the Settings โ†’ Notifications page, in CS2 a separate page in Settings. Off by default. โ†’ Notifications

Configsโ€‹

How do I share a config? Configs โ†’ My configs โ†’ "ยทยทยท" on the card โ†’ Make public, then "ยทยทยท" โ†’ Show share code and send the code. Your friend clicks Add someone's config and pastes the code โ€” the config is added as a new one, their configs are not overwritten. You can also grant access by Steam ID ("ยทยทยท" โ†’ Access). A code from another game will not work. โ†’ Configs

I can't create a config. All 10 slots are taken. Delete a config you don't need (the applied one cannot be deleted). โ†’ Configs

Do I need to save the config? Will changes be lost when I switch with a key? You don't need to save: any change is immediately written to the applied config and sent to the cloud. When you switch, your edits stay in the previous config โ€” switch back to it and they will be there. โ†’ Configs

My binds disappeared after changing the config. "Keep binds on switch" (on by default) applies when a config is added by code, from the gallery or from presets โ€” turn it on before adding. Config keys are stored on the computer and do not disappear. โ†’ Configs

I applied a config with Safe mode off, but it is still on. This is by design: the mode is stored on the computer and is not transferred by configs. โ†’ Safe mode

How do I share a theme? "ยทยทยท" on the theme card โ†’ Publish; the code appears on the card. Your friend enters it in the Theme code field โ†’ Add by code. โ†’ Themes
