Visuals โ†’ Bullet path preview

Sections inside: How it works (preview), Impact markers, Impact colors.

How to enableโ€‹

  1. Menu (Insert) โ†’ Visuals โ†’ Bullet path preview.
  2. Turn on the header toggle of the page: the feature is off by default.
  3. Take a firearm and aim: the markers appear immediately, you don't need to press anything.

What it doesโ€‹

  • Every tick it simulates the bullet's flight from your current weapon in the direction of your crosshair, taking into account the weapon's damage, penetration power and range.
  • On every surface the bullet enters, it draws a marker right on the wall. Markers are numbered by depth: the first impact, the second (after the first penetration), and so on. Each depth has its own color. The bullet's exit from a wall is drawn more transparent.
  • No more than "Maximum penetrations" surfaces are shown.
  • Labels are shown next to the crosshair:
    • Player damage labels โ€” how much health the shot will take from a player in the line of fire, taking armor, helmet and hit zone into account (for example, 87 damage);
    • Penetration loss labels โ€” the damage before and after each penetrated surface (for example, 102 โ†’ 64).
  • A thin line can run from each label to its impact ("Connect labels to impacts").
  • Works only while you are alive. Marker size decreases with distance.

FAQโ€‹

The markers don't appear. The feature is off by default โ€” turn it on in the page header. Markers are drawn only while you are alive and holding a weapon that fires bullets.

I don't see the damage to an enemy behind a wall. The label appears only if the calculated bullet path goes through a player. Check that "Player damage labels" is on and that "Maximum penetrations" is not lower than the number of walls in the way.

Too many markers on the screen. Lower "Maximum penetrations" or turn off unneeded depths in the "Impact colors" section.
