Visual โ†’ Maphack โ†’ Ward tracker

Ward tracker is one of the tabs of the Maphack page. Inside there are the Status panel, Sentry settings (radius) and Observer settings (radius) sections.

How to enableโ€‹

  1. Menu (Insert) โ†’ Visual โ†’ Maphack โ†’ Ward tracker tab.
  2. The script is enabled by default: the first row State. While it is off, the other options are inactive.
  3. The panel with the number of wards is turned on with the header toggle of the Status panel section (enabled by default). While the section is open, the card is visible outside a match too: drag it with the mouse to the desired place.

What it doesโ€‹

Wards on the map

  • A ward gets into the list if the script saw the ward itself or noticed that a visible enemy hero's ward count decreased (including in a dispenser). Passing a ward to an ally and dropping it on the ground do not count as placing it.
  • If the ward itself is not visible, its location is a point in front of the hero at the placement range. When the real ward comes into vision, the mark moves to its actual location.
  • A badge hangs above the ward: an Observer icon (yellow) or Sentry icon (blue), the remaining lifetime and the icon of the hero who placed it.
  • The lifetime is taken from the item data, and when the ward is visible โ€” from its actual timer. When the time runs out or the ward is destroyed, the mark disappears.
  • On the minimap an Observer or Sentry icon is drawn at the ward's location, on the ground โ€” a ward ping mark.
  • Draw 3D: while the ward itself is not visible, its model stands at the ward's location.
  • Radius sentry / Radius observer: a circle on the ground with the vision radius of the Sentry (true sight) or the Observer.

Status panel

  • A HUD card with the number of enemy Observers and Sentries on the map. The number is gray if there are no such wards.
  • The card is visible in a match, and outside a match โ€” while its section is open in the menu.

FAQโ€‹

An enemy placed a ward, but the script did not show it. The script notices a placement only if it sees the hero (the number of wards in their inventory decreased) or the ward itself. A ward placed in the fog will be marked only when it is seen.

The ward mark is not where the ward is. If the ward was not visible, the script places the mark in front of the hero at the placement range โ€” this is an approximate location. When the real ward comes into vision, the mark moves to it.

How do I remove the circles around wards? Turn off "Radius sentry" (enabled by default) and "Radius observer".

How do I move the panel with the number of wards? Open the Status panel section: the card will appear on screen. Drag it with the mouse. The size is changed with the "Size" slider.
